Guaranteed Auto Protection (GAP)

GAP offers protection against financial liability for members who finance a new or used vehicle. GAP protects against financial loss in the event that your member's vehicle is damaged beyond repair or stolen and never recovered. The program is designed to cover the exposure for the GAP amount, which is the difference between the outstanding lease or loan balance and the actual cash value (ACV) of the vehicle at the time it is declared a total loss.

Program highlights include:

• Applies to loans to both new and used vehicles, motorcycles, boats, RVs, travel trailers, snowmobiles, personal watercraft, ATVs
• Commercial Endorsement available
• No waiting period; Benefits start with the execution of the finance agreement and the GAP application 
• Eligible to sign up for GAP any time during course of loan
• The primary insurance deductible will be reimbursed up to $1,000 
• Up to $1,000 towards the purchase of the next vehicle financed by the financial institution
• Available for terms up to 84 months
• Maximum claim benefit of $50,000
